OCEAN RACING SERIES (SEASON 10)
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Started in January 2006, the Ocean Racing SeriesTM remains one of the largest family beach events in Africa and is unique to Nelson Mandela Bay.
The Series offers a fantastic way to stay fit in a casual, friendly and safe environment. Participants of all ages and fitness abilities are encouraged to join in the fun of the Series which is great for families.
Join hundreds of like minded people on (mostly) alternate Sunday mornings throughout Summer. Check out the event dates or download the Series Calendar from the link on the left hand menu.
SEASON 10
The Aquellé Ocean Racing Series - Season 10 will kick off with Round 1 on Sunday 12th October 2014 and will conclude with Round 10 on Sunday 15th March 2015.
All disciplines run simultaneously so you choose which one you'd like to do on a specific race day. The Long swim increases mid-season from 2km to 3km (Round 6 - 4th January 2015).
The Series is for Members Only - Series Membership is a ONCE OFF fee of R50 (to secure your Season 10 race number).
SEASON 10 ENTRY FEES
Despite rising costs in everything associated with the Series we have decided to keep entry fees the same as the previous THREE Seasons
Ocean Swims - R60
Beach Run/Walk - R40
Kids 1km Run/Walk - R30
The long course and short course swimmers are required to swim in the designated swim caps. One such cap will be provided with the registration pack - replacement caps are available at registration and at beach at R30 only.
Giving Back
The nominated charity for Season 10 will be Rotary. Through the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth Sunrise, the ORS will contribute towards the upliftment of the local community.

Congratulations to USC swimmer Marne Erasmus who received a late call up to Team SA to compete at the Fina World Long Course Championships in Barcelona. Marne will be competing on the 28th of July in the 100 fly, the 2nd of August in the 50 fly and on the 4th of August in the 4x100 IM Relay.
The Championships will be covered on Supersport from the 28th of July - 4th of August.
