AQUABEAR GALA POSTPONED

We have unfortunately just been made aware that  there is a major problem with the Newton Park swimming pool. Some maintenance  work (expected period 6 weeks) was needed to be carried out and the pool has been emptied. However there is a legal dispute so work has been not begun. We have looked at all the other options  but  we do not have another suitable venue at our disposal.

We have been in contact with all parties and  have therefore decided, after carefully weighing up  all the options, to postpone the Aquabear Gala, as it looks highly unlikely that the pool will be completed by the gala dates. The Municipality cannot  guarantee that this work will be completed in time, as it is out of their control

One of our options is to hold the gala in the second week of December. If you are still interested in attending , please let us know as we would like to see if it is viable to hold it then.

If any payments have been made for entries, etc please let me know and we will refund you.
